Pronunciation for English Teachers

This course focuses on providing teachers with the necessary theoretical background to understand key aspects of English phonology and also with practical ideas to help teachers teach pronunciation.

The course covers the following areas: phonemes and phonemic symbols; vowel sounds; consonant sounds; manner and place of articulation; word and sentence stress; elements of connected speech; intonation; pronunciation and spelling; varieties of English pronunciation; pronunciation and listening; and more.

Each module on the course comprises:

- video lessons;

- practical ideas on how to teach the topic being discussed;

- extra materials (texts, videos, games etc.) to help you further your knowledge of every topic;

- quizzes at the end of every lesson;

- contact with the tutor via email and via an exclusive WhatsApp group every step of the way.

General information:

- It is recommended candidates be at least at a B2 level of English, as all the lessons and materials are in ungraded English.
